A MIND, FULL OF MINDFULNESS
A MIND, FULL OF MINDFULNESS
Facebook has integrated itself seamlessly into my life. I ignore ads and have pretty much purged my page to see nothing but humor/memes, music and posts from friends.
Many of my "friends" are people I have not seen in years or may never see again yet, I am able to share their lives with them.
The best are birthdays. Were it not for Facebook. I'd have maybe six people remember mine..Facebook makes me important as people say happy birthday to me in numbers not seen since I invited my entire 3rd grade class to my birthday party.
Everyday, Facebook asks me, "What's on my mind?" What is on my mind is what I have to get off my mind. Some days, there is so much on it, that it needs to lose some of it's heft.
Thus the conundrum. To get something off my mind, it has to be on my mind. So I've got to clear up some space.
How does one get something off their mind? If I forget, well, it doesn't mean it's not on my mind...it just means I forgot.
If I distract my mind, once the distraction is gone, things are back on my mind.
It appears the only way to get something on my mind, off of it, is to lose my mind.
However, they say a mind is a terrible thing to lose and I'm sure once lost, probably hard to find.
So, until I figure out how to reformat, I will just have to tell you what's on my mind as there appears to be no place to find whats off my mind!
What is on my mind today, is absolutely nothing except all of the above. Now that that is off my mind, I now feel better and am free to find someone to wish happy birthday to. It might even be you!
Hope you don't mind.
